Arkateq (Pty) Ltd has been appointed by ATR to develop a customer and asset management system. This system, which is the first of its kind locally in this area, will consolidate all assets, customers, purchases and rentals. "We are very exited about this contract as it's a challenge and we will rise to the occasion, " comments Thomas Muller, managing director of Arkateq. "The system is a first of its kind, integrating Linux Open Source technology with Microsoft based products and Internet technology " adds Muller

The ATR Asset Management system (ATRAM) will give ATR's clients the means to remotely log on the system and manage their our assets as well as budget. Clients will be able to request reports as well as order equipment online. They will even receive notifications via SMS and / or e-mail as to the status of their orders.
